1963 - Mondia Super Competition

Obviously the most successful swiss framebuilder Mondia is not very well known outside of Suisse. I do not know why unless Ferdy Kübler and Hugo Koblet introduced swiss cyclist very early to the international crowd as to be powerful and strong.

Mondia frames and bicycles were produced until 2013 in Sägetstrasse 116, Strengelbach, CH near Zurich.

Besides Tebag, Allegro, Tigra and Del Po these old Mondia frames are not only due to their quite excellent workmanship but also because of their beautiness with that the selected color accents and designs amongst the most beautiful frames that I know.

I luckily was able to source this beauty - a 1963 Mondia Super Competition frame

  2. Unfortunately the headset isn´t marked but I´ve seen similar ones from Way Assulto as well as Magistroni.

  3. Yes, Ive seen several similar. That specific brand headset, for many years Ive inquired about. They're almost always found on 60's-80's European built frames, They've a little "D" etched insignia, and that is the extent of info I've acquired.
    Thanks though for the response.
